It is indeed great to know that today a street is named after Fr. Fernando Cuenca, OAR, in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. He was a missionary who founded towns and barrios in Negros, invented the hydraulic sugar mill, introduced coffee, etc, and cured ill people with hydrotheraphy, including St. Ezekiel Moreno, in his kumbento-cum-hospital, and was one of the four Recollect friars not subjected to imprisonment and expulsion by the Negros revolutionary forces! Mabuhay ang Recoletos!
